Kids’ Klub & All STAAR Academy
2019-2020 School Year!
Our goals:
- to provide a safe and welcoming place for children of all ages to be after school
- to demonstrate God’s love through our time, caring, and presence
- to help with reading, writing, and math so children will excel in school and in life
- to provide a protective environment where kids can be kids
- to provide an opportunity for children to complete homework assignments in a supportive environment
Kids’ Klub is available to all ages grades K-12 in walking distance of Central Lutheran Church, 1000 Easton Rd.
Adult supervision and assistance is provided Tuesdays & Thursdays during the school year, 3pm-5:30pm.
A lite snack and indoor or outdoor play will be available each day (we all need to take a break and unwind sometime!).
Activities will include general homework help and guided classes for STAAR testing preparation for kids in 3rd-5th grades led & supervised by church volunteers and Golden Gate Bridge Tutoring, founded by math teacher, Tesa Golden.
Ms. Golden has taught math in DISD for many years, including coaching for math team competitions. She recently has started a non-profit tutoring program: Golden Gate Bridge Tutoring. “Bridging the gap, one student at a time” is her goal as “a social justice organization that aims to help at-risk students be successful in math through after-school tutoring in the hopes that they can be exactly who they are meant to be.”

- We will require all participants to have on file a health form and emergency contact information.
- All adults working with the children will have undergone criminal background checks.
- We have first aid kits and an AED on site.
- All parents will be provided with a copy of our policies and procedures for keeping all those in our care safe.
